What attracted you to @WashULaw?
I appreciated that Washington University School of Law was ranked as a top-20 law school with prestigious faculty. I was also attracted to the flexible course arrangements.
What career or personal goals motivated you to pursue a deeper understanding of the law?
I was making a career move from finance to underwriting, a position that demands extensive interaction with legal professionals. I also wanted to be prepared to review M&A transaction documents.
How does this degree fit into your career plan?
In the short term, it provides me with the law knowledge that’s necessary at my current job. In the longer term, it equips me to follow my ambitions.
How do online classes benefit your lifestyle?
Very well. I have a busy work and personal schedule, and the flexibility that an online degree provides suits my lifestyle. At the same time, I am still able to connect with faculty and classmates through our synchronized sessions, which gives me that “belonging” feeling.
Can you describe what it’s like to participate in a law program in an online setting?
It requires devotion, discipline and participation but is very rewarding. The class is more diversified due to the flexibility online format provides.
