We offer four start dates throughout the year in winter, spring, summer and fall. Below are upcoming start dates and application deadlines:

Candidates must complete the entire online application in order to be considered for admission to the program.

The application fee for the program is $70, and it is nonrefundable. Candidates who qualify for an application fee waiver must send a formal request to their Admissions Counselor with supporting documentation before submitting the application. A refund cannot be issued for an application fee already paid.

This essay should be 400 to 500 words and answer the question: Why do you want to pursue your online degree with Washington University School of Law? Be sure to demonstrate a clear sense of why you wish to pursue the degree and how it would contribute to your development both personally and professionally.

Candidates must submit a current résumé or curriculum vitae (CV) that lists relevant professional and academic experience, including volunteer work, and honors and awards received.

Official transcripts are required from every institution attended, regardless of whether a degree was earned, including community college or study abroad programs.

If you are unable to obtain official transcripts prior to the application deadline, you may upload unofficial transcripts to your application with a degree conferral date. However, if admitted, you will be required to submit official transcripts from all academic institutions.

Transcript requests can take time to process, so we recommend submitting requests to these institutions as soon as possible. All official transcripts should be sent to:

Please note: To be considered an official transcript, the transcript must be sent directly from your institution(s) or through an electronic transcript vendor retained by that institution. Transcripts submitted by enrolled or prospective students are considered unofficial documents, even if they are in a sealed envelope provided to you by the issuing university.

An interview is required for admission and will be scheduled by the candidate’s Admissions Counselor. Interviews will be conducted via video conference using a basic webcam.
