Profile

A Washington University School of Law graduate, Lisa Braun has 29 years of legal experience. Her practice areas include HIPAA, fraud and abuse, managed care and tax and employee benefits, among others, and she currently serves as assistant vice chancellor and associate general counsel to Washington University with a focus on the School of Medicine.

Before joining the university, Braun served as an associate at Lewis Rice in St. Louis, Mo., where she practiced health and employee benefits law, and a partner at Thompson Coburn LLP, where she continued her practice in employee benefits, health and tax law. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois and Missouri bar, the American Health Lawyers Association and the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
