Adjunct Professor Peel teaches property at Washington University School of Law. The focus of her career has been on antitrust law which began at the U.S. Department of Justice where, in addition to leading civil and criminal investigations, she served as the U.S. Advisor to the South African Competition Commission, a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Virginia, as well as Assistant Counsel to the President in the White House Counsel’s Office. She now practices at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago.

In between her government service and current position, she was at home with her two children. During this time she founded Pro Bono Network to provide an infrastructure to attorneys like herself to volunteer with legal aid organizations. The organization is the recipient of numerous awards for contribution to the legal aid landscape in Chicago and has been featured in such publications as forbes.com, The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, and the ABA Woman Advocate. Her article, “Attorneys at Home: The Forgotten Resource for Legal Aid Delivery,” was featured in The Federal Lawyer.
